To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fort Custer, retired Col. James
Spackman, president of the Fort Custer Historical Society, will discuss
how the camp was built and 100,000 soldiers passed through during World
War I. Learn about our neighbor, which had 1,100 buildings and a
hospital consisting of 59 buildings capable of housing more than 20,000
troops at one time.
